About LASRC

The Los Alamos Ski Racing Club is designed for the younger skier (7 years -18 years). Training is conducted by licensed and trained coaches.

The Part-Time Program is committed to introducing and improving all aspects skiing from basic skills to moguls, tree skiing, and alpine ski racing while having fun. Must be able to get on and off  the chairlift, and ski in control at an intermediate level.

The Full-Time Program is dedicated to developing strong skiers. Although this program is designed for the serious ski competitor, and depending on the age, time spent training with a focus on specific technique and tactics may vary between 30-60%. The other percentage of the time is spent improving fundamental skiing skills, as well as learning to ski more challenging terrain and snow conditions.   Expert coaching and training allow these athletes to compete successfully in the Rocky Mountain Division of the US Ski & Snowboard organization.

Use of LASRC Spyder Ski jacket included as part of dues

All LASRC members must also be United States Ski & Snowboard (USS&S) members.

Helmets are required for practices. Hard shelled helmets (no soft ear flaps) are required for all races.
